  1. President’s Report: Bargaining will commence on February 16th. Team: Tyler Leaf, Floyd Montoya, Keith Carnes, Ray Vigil, and Joel Villarreal. Departments must submit contractual needs a week prior.
  2. Vice President’s Report: No current issues.
  3. Treasurer’s Report: Financial report presented; no recent transactions.
  4. Chief Steward’s Report: No issues.

Old Business:

  • Restructuring at RMS/Sheriff’s: Meeting with Command Staff discussed new job titles and potential wage increases. HR reviewing duty positions.
  • Restructuring at MDC: Creating a Correction Tech II position to recognize service and training.

New Business:

  • Negotiations: Discussed proposed changes based on member feedback, including:
    • Limit of 3 forced overtimes per week
    • Expansion of bereavement leave to include spouse’s in-law
    • Health and safety article to address issues pre-OSHA level
    • Security guard at MDC visitation entrance
    • Additional compensation for NCIC certification
